So, I’ve finally made some progress on my new novel! The story takes place around 11th century India, and having grown up in this country, I know next to nothing about Indian history. I was basically immersing myself in the time period until yesterday, when I finally started writing again. I have a basic story concept but I’m kind of letting the story go as it will at this point and seeing where the characters take me. I may begin outlining a little soon.
In the meantime though, since I’ve started writing, I would really like to join a critique group. I’m not sure how to find one, though. I will probably check out the New England SCBWI website and see if I can find something that way.
