Just wanted to highlight two recent favorites from our library trips. Both of these are visually stunning for completely different reasons.
I thought the fantastic intricate sepia toned drawings (with splashes of red for the fish) would be too sophisticated for my 2-y.o. to enjoy, but I was completely wrong. She LOVES this one and asks for it again and again. There are lots of hidden shapes and shadows to look out for. I also love the red fabric cover that begs to be touched.
A fun story about a lonely gorilla and a colorful sunbird. I’m partial to jungle scenes and love the wild, colorful illustrations in this one.
