Best books of 2009 — of the ones I read anyway

Okay, so I was going to do this whole post about the best kid’s books I read this year, but while I was going through my list on goodreads, I started to get confused about my star rating system. Then I thought, hmm…which books would I actually recommend as something worthwhile to read (five-star or not?).
