This blog is a place for me to rant and rave about TV! I am really excited about the upcoming fall season. There really hasn’t been much on TV this summer and stupid shows like Wipeout make me wonder how braindead those TV execs really think about their viewers.
There are a few shows that I’ve been loving this summer though:
1) The Bachelorette- no idea why I can’t stop watching. i’ve been watching the Bachelor for years now. I know, I know I just said Wipeout was dumb, but I love watching nice people fall in love and this season has been full of nice guys doing strange things. not to mention the bad guy Wes! What is the deal with him anyway? Did he really have a girlfriend?
2)The Fashion Show- hooray! my favorite person won! I was skeptical of this show at first because I really really love Project Runway and was disappointed to hear all the drama that was going on with that show, so when this show showed up on Bravo instead, I was really bummed (luckily Lifetime will start showing Project Runway, so it’s not a complete loss!)
3) Top Chef Masters – I love Top Chef and I love watching the “masters” go through everything that the Top Chef’s had to go through. There isn’t much fighting going on, most of these chefs really are professionals with only good things to say to each other and who realize that the whole thing is just for charity, after all. Even so, the master chefs have big personalities and do really well on TV. I love watching them get sobby over their charities too. I do miss Tom Colicchio though who oozes charm and personality on Top Chef.
4)Masterpiece Mystery–I love Masterpiece! And I love mysteries. enough said.
5) Privileged- I just started watching this program since they re-aired the entire season this summer. It is gossip-girl light. GG for teens whose parents won’t let them watch GG (and I’m not entirely positive that they should!). The main character is a bit too bubbly for my taste, but it is still fun to watch because of the relationship drama and the fashion!
